This is a packaging project that I made during my senior year of design school.
The packaging is based around my Peruvian heritage and the influence that Japanese culture has on Peru.
Pata is slang in Peru for someone who is more than your best friend. I chose this because of the connotation that drinking has with bonding and creating friendships while connecting more of my Peruvian heritage to design elements of the brand.
The logo is a simplification of the kanji for "friend" mixed with a flower motif based off an invasive flower in Peru that is native to Japan.
Colors of each type of sake are based on the flavor profiles of the sake or the way that that sake is meant to be drank (hot or cold).
